And so it begins... After many years of contemplation and hesitance - www.MarkMushakian.com has finally come to the world. I am, of course, Mark Mushakian. I have wanted a site of my own for a long time, and now I have one. But, why?

My goal here is one of presentation. I wanted to create a place where I could build a community. A place where I could share my creative works - in whatever manner that may be. As corny as it sounds, I am an artist, and I am thrilled to finally bring my art to the public. Over time, I will branch out into all sorts of entertainment, from paintings to movies, and to express my feelings about this world, from social to personal commentary.

Please, look around, but here in the beginning of it all there is not much yet to see. The Site Links to the left will eventually lead to sub-pages dedicated to their own topics. The forum is up and running, and in lieu of having the ability to leave comments on this site, you will be able to leave your comments in the forum. Each blog entry you see here will have a topic in the forum, and I'd love to hear from you.

Reason To Enjoy Life is something that will update once a week, and it's my favorite part of the site. I've chosen to update it every Monday, because nobody seems to like Mondays, and if you can visit my site and be reminded of one simple, silly, beautiful reason to smile - then I'm a happy man. This world really is too great to not enjoy, and I hope to remind you of that with a fresh reason every week.

Current Projects will be a small area where I briefly keep you up to date on what I'm working on. Eventually I'll have more projects, and this will be more full, but for now it's a little barren. Don't worry - we're working on it. Any big news I have will be posted in my blog, but after awhile, once I have more projects running at once, keep an eye out there to keep track of ones you're interested in.

As you can see by the name of this website, I am not worried about anonymity, and I'll always be happy to hear from you. Besides communicating in the forum, you can also get ahold of me through the Contact section. If you're a MySpace junky, feel free to add us. The same goes for AIM. Don't think I'm full of myself, either - it's all purely to keep things simple and easy to remember. Not that most people remember how to spell my last name...but maybe now they will.

Jumping over to the right side of the page are different sets of links. Friends are people I know personally, and often collaborate with. There is a good chance you may see me on one of their sites, and vice versa. Below that is a section of What We Use. Here is where I'll list computer programs that I personally use and promote. I am a big fan of open source freeware, and anything great I find and test out will end up here. Finally, below that, are Places We Like, a set of links to other sites that I frequent. Some of them will be pure entertainment, and some will be informative.

So, here we are. If you like this site, tell your friends. Even when times between projects are slow, I hope to keep active enough with blogs that you never lose interest. I love to create, so I'll always be working on something. If I ever get too busy to maintain this page, however, then my priorities have become misaligned, and I hope that someone will smack me in the head. I look forward to the future of what I can bring you, and I hope you continue to visit often.

Thanks -
Mark.
